Any user's location can be found due to Internet Protocol (IP). It is the series of numbers which can give away any information about a computer. If you want to surf the Internet without fearing that your IP will be recorded by people with bad intentions, you can use IP Hider. It will make it look like you have a different IP while you browse the Internet. Just enable it, minimize it to the system tray and your identity will be safe.

The software's setup package is 3.80 Mb large and the wizard will guide you through standard steps like setting a destination path and selecting shortcuts. From the moment you start the download, it will take less than a minute to having it up and running on your computer.

The software will redirect your Internet traffic through anonymous proxies from around the world. This way, web sites you visit will log the IP from the proxy you will use, instead of your real one. The main area of IP Hider's interface features a map of the world. Clicking on one of the highlighted countries will change the used proxy to one from that specific country. Your real and currently used IPs will be displayed in the lower right corner of the main window, so you can make sure that your IP is hidden. Another way to check this is to click on the Check IP button, on the left side of the window. This will take you to the developer's web page which contains a "My IP Adress" feature. If the software works, this feature will display an IP and a location on Google Maps that are different from your real ones.

To switch from the map to an advanced view on the program's interface, you must click the Advanced button, on the left side of the window. This will display a drop menu from which you can select a different proxy. Included here are proxies from the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, France, Ireland and Canada. Being able to route your traffic through one of these proxies means that you can also bypass a web site's restrictions, regarding countries or regions. When you select a proxy from the drop menu, a small window will show up, where you can test the proxy's response. Simply click the Start button on this window and you will have the results immediately.

Pros:
Simplicity is what makes IP Hider a useful tool. All you have to do is select a proxy and enable the anonymity feature. The software will work as a system tray icon, so it will not get in your way.

Cons:
IP Hider has some compatibility issues with Windows 7. Some of the buttons and text will be placed outside the interface.

Your identity is safe with IP Hider. When browsing the Internet, it will hide your real IP so that no hacker can find it and use it for criminal purposes.
